An impressive comeback
Originally SEA Pride 2016 – a music event celebrating diversity in the community – BridgeFest has now been held for four consecutive years, becoming a meaningful community event that attracts a large number of young people and spreads a positive message. Returning for this year, BridgeFest 2019 brings breakthroughs in organizational scale, diversity, and the significance of its activities.
The band DaLAB returns to the BridgeFest 2019 stage after a successful year.
Continuing the message of "Bridging the Gap," BridgeFest 2019 calls on the community to work together to remove barriers and gaps in Vietnamese society such as gender, income, geography, culture, religion, etc. In particular, this year's event aims to inspire young people to participate in community activities and contribute to an equal society, especially in education and healthcare.
This message was conveyed by BridgeFest 2019 through a variety of activities: meaningful and inspiring panel discussions, exhibitions, workshops, community activities organized by social organizations, and a vibrant music night featuring performances by famous artists from Vietnam and abroad.
Viet Hung, a rapper from the Lộn Xộn band, representing the artists, shared his thoughts on how music makes people happier.
A vibrant music night to connect.
As a signature event of BridgeFest over the years, the music festival is always eagerly anticipated by young people due to its quality and vibrant atmosphere. This year, BridgeFest promises to deliver a diverse and captivating spectacle created by artists from various genres such as Pop, Ballad, Indie, Rock, and more. Even more importantly, although each artist at BridgeFest has taken different paths to pursue their passion for music, they all share a common trait: they never back down from difficulties and challenges, they are creative, and they constantly reinvent themselves to create quality products for the public. This is precisely the spirit that BridgeFest aims to convey through the music festival.
Isaac – the former leader of the popular 365 Daband group, with a successful year in both music and film – will bring to the BridgeFest 2019 stage heartwarming love songs, along with a story of continuous self-improvement and relentless effort to pursue his dreams.
Blood Moon Orchestra - a band comprised of members from the United States and zither artist Van Anh Vo
The artists performing at BridgeFest 2019 represent a diverse range of musical genres and nationalities.
The return of Dalab is also a highlight, given the band's recent dominant year in the music market. The theme song for this "Bridging the Gap" campaign –Everyone is the same.– This is a work penned by these charismatic young men and will be performed for the first time at the upcoming concert.
Amidst the modern spectacle, the appearance of Vo Van Anh – a zither artist – and the Blood Moon Orchestra from the United States was an inspiring highlight of the BridgeFest stage. Van Anh has a burning passion for traditional Vietnamese musical instruments and folk music. She continuously explores, innovates, and actively promotes World Music – a genre that explores and combines folk music from various regions – throughout the world. This effort earned her a 2009 Emmy Award – a prestigious award in the American television industry – and a judging position at the 57th Grammy Awards (2014). This performance by Vo Van Anh and her band was kept secret until the last minute and promised to bring surprises to the audience. Vietnam is one of the stops on the Blood Moon Orchestra's tour, sponsored by the Mid Atlantic Foundation and TT Couture.
