World Music Festival in Hanoi

At 8:00 PM on June 21st, at the Pullman Hanoi Hotel, audiences will be able to immerse themselves in the World Music Festival 21/6, enjoying the fiery and wild music of West Africa blended with the clear sounds of Vietnamese folk music.

The performance features a special guest – musician, singer, and songwriter Musbaba Traore from Mali. Musbaba is a musician, composer, and singer from Mali. His style is afro-pop-bambana, blending traditional Malian sounds with world music. He can play all kinds of percussion instruments and a traditional string instrument called the n'goni.

Musbaba currently lives and works in Hanoi (Vietnam) and is undertaking a project combining Malian and Vietnamese musical styles. He incorporates traditional Vietnamese instruments (Dan Tranh) into his musical works, resulting in harmonious melodies that blend the fiery rhythms of West African music with the melodious sounds of East Asia.
