Hoi An resumed tourism activities from June.

Tourism activities in Hoi An ancient town, Thanh Ha pottery village, and Tra Que vegetable village officially restarted in June. Notably, the My Son World Heritage Site will also reopen with many attractive offers.

Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province), said: "To date, the epidemic has been basically well controlled; and tourism is recovering quickly, so the city has agreed to reorganize activities such as ticket sales for sightseeing, night markets, pedestrian streets and non-motorized vehicles; cultural and artistic performances, craft demonstrations... in Hoi An ancient town, Thanh Ha pottery village and Tra Que vegetable village from June 1st."

Currently, Hoi An has opened several attractions free of charge, such as the Japanese Bridge, Ong Pagoda, Thanh Ha Pottery Village Museum, Tra Que Vegetable Village, Cam Thanh Mangrove Forest, and Cham Island... However, during the social distancing period, there were no cultural or entertainment activities.

The My Son World Heritage site is also resuming tourism activities and will sell tickets to visitors. In particular, the heritage site will offer discounted tickets for tourists from June 1st to September 1st, 2020.

Specifically, group tours receive a 30% discount on tickets for the entire group, and a 50% discount for groups with registered residency in Quang Nam province (groups of 3 or more people). Students receive a 50% discount on the total group price, but a service fee (30,000 VND/person, applicable nationwide) will be charged. Students under 16 years old are admitted free of charge. Groups of 10 or more people receive a free tour guide and can take photos with Cham dancers in the performance hall after each show.

The Quang Nam Tourism Association also unanimously proposed a "Thank you" package, offering a 100% discount on one-day stays to express gratitude to the frontline medical staff fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
