The prestigious American travel magazine Travel+Leisure has honored the Metropole Hanoi Hotel as the Best Hotel in Hanoi in its World's Best Awards – a list of the world's best hotels. This is an annual award based on reader reviews of their favorite travel destinations, hotels, resorts, and cruises. Additionally, the Metropole Hanoi Hotel was named among the "Top 25 Resort Hotels in the World" by Smart Travel Asia readers and the "Top 100 Best Hotels in the World" by World Travel. Smart Travel Asia – an online travel magazine – conducted a poll from May to June 2017 with the participation of approximately 30,000 people to select the "Top 25 Best Resort Hotels".
Furthermore, World Travel, a high-end travel magazine from Singapore, also honored the Metropole Hanoi Hotel in its list of “Top 100 Best Hotels in the World”. Notably, the Metropole Hanoi Hotel was also awarded the Grand and Gold Awards 2017 by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in the “Heritage and Culture” category. The annual PATA Grand Awards are sponsored by the Macao Government Tourism Office and are awarded to outstanding organizations in four main categories: Marketing, Education and Training, Environment, and Heritage and Culture.
