Specifically, 220 booths at the 2019 Southern Traditional Cake Festival display and introduce traditional cakes, traditional cuisine, regional specialties and auxiliary ingredients for making cakes... from units, businesses, establishments and artisans from districts of Can Tho City and provinces and cities across the country. This is an annual national cultural event and festival to introduce, promote and preserve traditional cakes typical of the South to domestic and international tourists.

This year, one of the important issues that the Organizing Committee prioritizes is the quality of the cakes introduced at the festival. Mr. Nguyen Khanh Tung, Director of the Can Tho Center for Trade and Investment Promotion and Exhibition Fair, said that the Organizing Committee has checked and kept samples of all raw materials from all cooking activities from the booths to ensure food hygiene and safety.
This year's festival has 220 booths from 8 countries and 18 provinces and cities in the country participating.
In addition to introducing and promoting cakes and traditional Southern cuisine, this year's festival also features a gala performance called "Forever Beautiful Ao Ba Ba" to honor the Southern Ao Ba Ba. The 2019 Southern Traditional Cake Festival takes place from April 12 to 16, 2019.
