The Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 officially opened on the evening of July 12th at the Tay Ho Creative Cultural Space (612 Lac Long Quan Alley, Tay Ho District, Hanoi) with many unique and meaningful activities. This year's festival attracted a large number of local people and tourists, contributing to the promotion of culture and tourism in Hanoi.

The theme of the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 is "The Beauty of Hanoi's Lotus." The aim is to honor the beauty of the lotus flower, a symbol of the elegance and purity of the Vietnamese people. At the same time, it is an opportunity for locals and tourists to experience the cultural beauty and traditional essence of Hanoi.
The theme of this year's festival is "The Lotus Colors of Hanoi".
The highlight of this year's festival is the elaborately staged semi-live art performance "The Story of the Lotus," recreating historical and cultural stories associated with the lotus flower. The program attracted a large audience and received much praise.
In particular, within the framework of this event, there will be a ceremony to receive the National Intangible Cultural Heritage status for the craft of infusing tea with West Lake lotus flowers. The festival will showcase the unique values of the "lotus tea infusion" craft as well as the distinctive characteristics of the lotus flower in the cultural life of the Vietnamese people.
As part of the festival, a ceremony will be held to officially recognize the craft of infusing tea with West Lake lotus flowers as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Besides the opening night's artistic program, the Hanoi Lotus Festival 2024 also features many other activities such as:
- Workshop on the Conservation and Development of Lotus in Vietnam.
- Opening of the Lotus Art Installation Space Exhibition and the Lotus Photography Exhibition in Vietnamese Life.
- The Tay Ho District OCOP Product Sales Center was inaugurated in the Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street area.
- Lotus Culinary Space: Visitors can enjoy delicious dishes made from lotus flowers such as lotus salad, lotus sweet soup, lotus sticky rice, etc.
- The concert "Trinh Cong Son and his friends".
The Hanoi Lotus Festival is organized to promote and honor the beauty of lotus flowers and the cultural values of the thousand-year-old capital city. The festival will take place from July 12th to 16th, 2024. This is a very meaningful occasion for locals and tourists to have the opportunity to experience the cultural beauty of this imperial city.
