Opening of Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma Food Stores in Vietnam

01/09/2016

When traveling to Ibaraki this autumn, after admiring the vibrant red Kokia hills at Hitachi Kaihin Park, be sure to visit Ibaraki's food and souvenir shops to enjoy traditional dishes and choose lovely items as mementos.

If you can't make it to Ibaraki, there's a fantastic shop in Vietnam too! This food store features products from three prefectures—Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma—that will leave your stomach full and still wanting more.

With the goal of expanding exports to Vietnam, a food and souvenir store featuring products from the three prefectures of Ibaraki, Tochigi, and Gunma opened in Vietnam on July 31, 2016. In the future, Nihonshu and processed foods from Ibaraki Prefecture will be widely available, and businesses in Ibaraki are eager to develop sales channels to Vietnam to boost exports.

The shop's Japanese-style design is reminiscent of Japan's Azumaya (resting places). If you're a connoisseur of fine dining, this will be a real-life paradise for you.

Japanese sake, specifically plum wine from Ibaraki Prefecture, is available in the shop. The sake is of superior quality, produced using a centuries-old family recipe.
