Previously, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism submitted a proposal to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee seeking their opinion on the policy of welcoming international tourists with vaccine passports. The Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee stated that it had issued a document agreeing to this proposal, and the Provincial People's Committee has directed that the dossier be completed soon and submitted to the competent authority for consideration before a decision is made.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that the department has completed the draft plan for welcoming tourists back under the new circumstances and has submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee. She added: "Next week, provincial leaders will meet to review this draft so that it can be submitted to higher authorities for decision and approval."
Regarding domestic tourism, the principle of welcoming domestic tourists to Khanh Hoa via private flights was approved, and the Provincial People's Committee was authorized to decide, within its jurisdiction, on the conditions applicable to tourism businesses and tourists, ensuring safety and COVID-19 prevention and control.
In addition, Khanh Hoa province also allows intra-provincial tourism activities for tourists who have a certificate proving they have received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, or who have received one dose but have a valid certificate showing a negative Covid-19 test result.
Khanh Hoa province also stated that, at this point, the province has basically brought the epidemic under control and has therefore proceeded to ease social distancing measures in some residential areas. People who have received two doses of the vaccine (the second dose after 14 days) and those who have tested negative for Covid-19 are allowed to return to work as normal.
