Khanh Hoa plans to welcome international visitors with "vaccine passports"

The proposal to open the door to welcome domestic and international tourists with vaccine passports has been approved by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province.

Previously, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism had submitted a document asking for the opinion of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on the policy of welcoming international visitors with vaccine passports. The Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee said that it had issued a document agreeing to this proposal, and the Provincial People's Committee had directed the early completion of the dossier, requesting competent authorities to review and then make a decision.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Deputy Director in charge of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that the department has completed the draft plan to welcome back visitors in the new situation and has submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee. She added: "Next week, the provincial leaders will meet to review this draft to soon submit it to higher levels for decision and approval."

Regarding domestic tourism, the policy of welcoming domestic tourists to Khanh Hoa by private flights was agreed upon, and the Provincial People's Committee was assigned to decide on the conditions applicable to tourism businesses and tourists, ensuring safety in preventing and combating the Covid-19 epidemic.

In addition, Khanh Hoa province also allows domestic tourism activities for tourists with a certificate of having received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine, or having received one dose of vaccine but having a valid certificate of negative Covid-19 test result.

Khanh Hoa province also said that up to this point, the province has basically controlled the epidemic, so it has loosened social distancing in some residential areas. People who have received 2 doses of vaccine (the second dose after 14 days) and those who have tested negative for Covid-19 are allowed to go to work as usual.
