Luong Son Pass is located on the border between Vinh Hoa ward and Vinh Luong commune (Nha Trang city), has many sharp turns, many of which are more than 10m deep. This is where tourists often stop to sightsee and take photos.
Defy danger to take beautiful photos
It is worth mentioning that many tourists who come here, hoping to take beautiful photos, have climbed out onto the rocky outcrops jutting out into the sea to take photos. On the morning of October 7, a female tourist slipped and fell into a deep abyss while taking photos, causing serious injuries. Previously, in February 2021, a doctor fishing at a rocky outcrop on the mountainside of this pass unfortunately slipped and was swept away by waves and died.
Ms. Le Tuong Minh (38 years old, Nha Trang resident) said: "This route is very beautiful to see Nha Trang Bay. But many people often stand close to the cliffs and cliff edges to take pictures, which is very dangerous, especially in recent days when it has been raining, the cliffs are very slippery and prone to landslides."
Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu (tourist from Hanoi) said: "Many young people climb to dangerous high places on Luong Son pass to take pictures for virtual life, disregarding their own lives."

More warning signs are needed.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan - Chairman of Vinh Luong Commune People's Committee - said that this route is managed by the Department of Transport. Dangerous areas have been built with embankments, barriers and warning signs of dangerous deep ravines.
"The locality and urban management department have also proposed placing concrete blocks in deep ravines to ensure the safety of residents and tourists. Patrol teams are responsible for reminding people when they see them in dangerous areas," said Mr. Tuan.
However, according to many locals and tourists, authorities need to place more warning signs at dangerous spots to prevent tourists from leaving the safe zone, especially young tourists coming here for the first time.

Don't follow the "check-in trend" at dangerous places.
Mr. Truong Hoang Nguyen, an experiential tour guide in Nha Trang, shared: "You should not follow the "check-in trend" at dangerous virtual living spots, or discovery challenge videos...
Avoid standing on the edge of cliffs, in places with weak geology, bare hillsides with jagged rocks where falling rocks are common. Or high, protruding cliffs, especially mountain passes, are also very dangerous. Photographers must also be careful, observe and choose a safe shooting position.
