Hanoia – Vietnam's leading luxury lacquerware manufacturer – has officially launched the first edition of its 2026 interior decoration collection. This is not simply a new product launch, but a bold innovation, where traditional lacquer techniques are placed in creative "laboratories" to explore the vibrant energy of nature through contemporary artistic language.

From the very beginning of its announcement, fashion enthusiasts have paid special attention to this year's main theme: the intersection between completely new creations and iconic designs that have been "refined." Hanoia's design philosophy for 2026 goes beyond preservation, promoting experimentation on the foundation of heritage. By combining Western sculptural thinking with the skillful hands of Vietnamese lacquer artisans, the collection has created a spectrum of emotions, both highly practical and achieving the sophistication of unique works of art.

The highlight of this launch is Ether, a product line marking the strategic collaboration between Hanoia and French sculptor Sophie Dabet. Inspired by the rhythm and breath of Vietnamese nature, Sophie Dabet spent considerable time meticulously observing the forms and subtle movements of native birds. The result of this elaborate research is a trio of works: the Bulbul, the Parrot, and the Sparrow. Through the lens of a sculptor, these birds are reborn in highly sculptural forms, stripping away unnecessary details to retain the "spirit" in each flowing line.

When Sophie Dabet's sculptures are translated into lacquer, a true artistic fusion takes place. The spirit of the original work is preserved but becomes more magnificent than ever thanks to Hanoia's distinctive coloring and blending techniques. The artisans skillfully add multiple layers of color, creating smooth color transitions on the glossy surface, awakening the vibrant beauty characteristic of tropical birds. This is considered a new step in combining sculpture with lacquer, allowing interior furnishings to break free from traditional molds and become living entities within the space.

Through exquisite handcrafted techniques such as hand-painting, color blending, and foil engraving, the collection not only recreates the vibrant energy of tropical nature but also elevates interior furnishings into unique works of art for modern living spaces.

The source of inspiration from nature continues through the Exotic and Parrot-dise product lines, where the beauty of birds is celebrated in contrasting yet unified aspects. While Exotic impresses the public with its meticulous hand-painting techniques, realistic depictions, and rich diversity of bird species, Parrot-dise is a testament to superior sculptural artistry. Here, familiar everyday objects are transformed into inspiring works of art, blurring the lines between functionality and pure aesthetics. This accurately reflects the trend of sustainable and culturally significant interior design that the upper class is pursuing.

Beyond simply creating new designs, Hanoia also knows how to revitalize old values with the exciting return of the Elephone statue. In the 2026 version, instead of using plain colors as before, the lacquered elephants have been given a new, regal look using handcrafted gold leaf application techniques. The combination of the depth of the lacquer and the dazzling sheen of the gold leaf not only creates a luxurious visual effect but also affirms the brand's distinctive approach to handling rare and precious materials.

Furthermore, the introduction of Moonbow and Innate demonstrates Hanoia's capabilities in color research and technical application. Focusing on a new color palette with a diverse combination of primary color groups, these two product lines utilize color blending effects combined with sophisticated embossing techniques. These experiments aim to bring lacquer closer to modern living spaces, where minimalism and elegance need to be subtly blended. These products are not just decorative items but also unifying elements, creating harmony for the overall interior architecture of a home.
