Taking place on April 26, 2026 at Thung Ui Cultural Area (Ninh Binh), the 2026 Dan Kinh Thien Festival, themed “Mysterious Ancient Dan,” is an art and culture event combining live performances and experiential activities. The program is organized by Newday Media in collaboration with Xuan Truong Construction Enterprise.
The main content of the festival is a four-part live performance: "Eternal Spirits," "The Founding of Dai Co Viet," "The Mysterious Ancient Altar," and "The Flower Fairy Feast." The parts are structured chronologically, from prehistoric settings and community life to rituals and the festive atmosphere. This structure creates a seamless journey for the audience to follow and participate in.

A crucial part of the program is the procession and ritual of offering sacrifices to the heavens. Spectators move with the procession through the spaces of Earth, Man, and Heaven, directly participating in the ritual process instead of merely observing. This format changes the approach compared to conventional performance programs.
The program involved over 2,500 people, including performers and support staff. Some segments recreated historical settings using real horses and group performances.
The Dan Kinh Thien Festival promises to be a unique and interactive cultural event for visitors during this time.
The space is organized into two consecutive performance areas. The first area recreates the setting inside the mountain and military exercises. The second area focuses on the procession, sacrifices, and the festivities following the ceremony. Spectators move between the areas to follow the entire content.
The festival utilizes projection technologies such as visual mapping, lighting, and sound to support the performances. These elements are arranged within the natural space of Thung Ui Valley, serving to convey the content and create visual effects.
Beyond the performances, the event aims to create a cultural space where participants can watch, move around, and interact throughout the program. The festival is held in the third lunar month, coinciding with sightseeing activities in the Ninh Binh area.
