Hue is the only city in Vietnam that has so far successfully organized a hot air balloon festival three times during the Festival.
The fourth festival will take place from June 25 to June 30, 2022 at Ham Nghi Stadium (August 23 Street) inside Hue Citadel, with the name "Hue Ancient Capital seen from the sky". Coming to the festival, visitors will not only be able to admire spectacular hot air balloon performances, but also directly participate in the experience of flying to see the whole view of Hue Citadel.

With the free flight experience, visitors will take off at dawn, fly with the hot air balloon and admire the Hue Citadel, Huong River, Ngu Mountain, Tam Giang Lagoon, the countryside and many other scenic spots during the flight.
It is expected that the number of hot air balloons to perform in the festival will include 10 large hot air balloons with a diameter of 25 - 28 m, flying at a height of 300 - 500 m, able to carry 2 tourists and 10 mini hot air balloons with a diameter of 6 - 10 m, flying at a height of 10 - 20 m used for performance flights.
From June 25 to 30, 2022, under favorable weather conditions, the "Hue Ancient Capital seen from the sky" hot air balloon festival opens to welcome visitors and daily flight experiences according to the following time frames: Free flight from 6:00 - 6:30 and 16:00 - 16:30; Hanging flight and performance flight: 7:00 - 9:00 and 17:00 - 19:00.
Visitors can buy tickets directly at the festival area or via the fanpage.Above Vietnamwith the price: 5 million VND/1 free flight ticket and 170,000 VND/suspended flight ticket, including insurance and tax. In addition, visitors are free to visit and enjoy the mini hot air balloon performance.

From June 20 to 26, the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province also coordinated with Hexa Media to organize a journey to promote the destination "Visit Hue" with the message "Hue is not only about heritage" with the participation of many of Vietnam's leading travel bloggers and travel inspirations in a specially designed trip.
