The Swedish Gothenburg Film Festival will be held for 7 days, from January 29 to February 8 on the island of Pater Noster - a small island of rocks, wind and waves, located 8 km from the fishing village of Mastrand, the nearest inhabited area. Pater Noster is one of the most remote places to stay in the world, famous for its lighthouse designed into a special hotel by Swedish architects.

According to the organizers, guests attending the festival will still be fully served with food, drinks and accommodation. However, they are not allowed to bring in transceivers, stories, books or anything else that can distract them. Everyone will come to Pater Noster just to watch the film, and those who do not watch the film will watch the waves crashing offshore. The organizers will ask guests to make a video blog about this strange experience, as well as prepare mentally and psychologically before being "quarantined" for 7 days on the island.
This will probably be where guests stay when attending the Film Festival.
In addition to the invited guests, a number of other attendees will be selected through online registration and interviews. This arrangement is not only to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but also an interesting way to promote the isolation theme of this year's Göteborg Film Festival.
