Guests will experience 7 days of "quarantine" on the island: no phones, computers, books, or anything else to do except watch movies and admire the sea.

The Gothenburg Film Festival in Sweden will be held for seven days, from January 29th to February 8th, on Pater Noster – a small island of rocks, wind, and waves, located 8 km from the nearest inhabited fishing village, Mastrand. Pater Noster is one of the world's most remote destinations, famous for its lighthouse which has been redesigned into a unique hotel by Swedish architects.

The island of Pater Noster is famous for its 150-year-old lighthouse.

According to the organizers, guests attending the film festival will still be provided with food, drinks, and accommodation. However, they are not allowed to bring any transmitting or receiving devices, books, or anything else that might cause distractions. Everyone comes to Pater Noster solely to watch films; if not watching films, they will enjoy watching the waves crashing offshore. The organizers will ask guests to create video blogs about this unusual experience, and to prepare themselves mentally and emotionally before being "quarantined" on the island for 7 days.

Đây có thể sẽ là nơi lưu trú của khách mời khi tới tham dự LHP.

This could be the accommodation for guests attending the film festival.

In addition to invited guests, a number of other attendees will be selected through online registration and interviews. This organizational method is not only aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19, but it is also an interesting way to promote the isolation theme of this year's Göteborg Film Festival.
