06/01/2021

Binh Dinh province has just launched the first science exploration tour in Vietnam, ExploraScience Quy Nhon.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Director of the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, this is a trial tour that started in early 2019 and is expected to be fully implemented in 2021.

There are 7 themed rooms here: exploration, learning about the universe, the Solar System, the Earth and natural resources, the laws of nature… There are 94 scientific models, most of which were created by experts at ExploraScience Quy Nhon according to the exact size of the real objects.

The ExploreScience Quy Nhon science exploration tour is located at the Science Discovery Center in Ghenh Rang ward.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hang, an employee at the Science Discovery Center, said: "The most popular science tool at the center is a 1.5-meter diameter globe simulating a planet, worth nearly 3 billion VND, imported from Germany. The globe projects images simulating many phenomena occurring on Earth (climate change, volcanoes, earthquakes, seasons of the year, etc.), and visitors can interact directly with the globe through a touchscreen."

Most visitors, especially children and students, enjoy listening to the staff introduce and explain scientific knowledge.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thong (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "I find this place very interesting. Especially for children and students because they can both play and learn new things. This is a truly beneficial place to explore."
