Reasons why your visa was denied.

14/01/2020

The first thing people think about when planning a trip is a visa. Applying for a visa can sometimes be quite complicated and difficult, even with thorough preparation. So, what are some of the reasons why you might encounter obstacles when applying for a visa?

Tourism history is limited.

For developed countries like Japan, South Korea, Australia, Canada, the United States, and European countries, travel history in your passport is a crucial factor. Never having traveled to developed countries, or having very little prior travel history, will negatively impact your chances with consular officers.

The ties with Vietnam are not enough.

For consular officers, ties to current employment, family, or property are important factors in deciding whether or not to grant a visa. If you cannot demonstrate that your current job is stable or that you have strong family ties in Vietnam, your visa application may be rejected.

You should carefully prepare all documents related to your current job, such as salary statements and documents proving your relationship with family and relatives, to ensure you will return to your home country after your trip.

The purpose of the trip could not be proven.

This is one of the main reasons most tourists are denied visas. Embassies and consulates will be suspicious if you cannot prove the purpose of your trip. Therefore, when applying for a tourist visa, you should carefully list your itinerary and destinations. In addition, you need to provide proof of your return flight tickets to demonstrate that you will return after your trip.

Incorrectly filled out or incomplete visa application forms, and missing related documents.

Filling out the visa application form isn't too difficult, however, you must be careful and read every detail thoroughly to avoid missing anything, especially details about personal information, employment, financial proof, and travel history. You also need to prepare all necessary documents such as a passport valid for at least 6 months, salary statements, bank statements, and other relevant documents to ensure a smooth visa application process.

Information fraud

One of the main reasons your tourist visa application might be rejected is due to inaccurate and illogical information you provide. When you submit your visa application, the embassy will check the information you provide, and if any errors or fraudulent information are found, your application will be immediately canceled.

For example, if you haven't provided an employment contract, the embassy will contact your company to verify, and may even request your social insurance book. Only when you have a real job will your company pay social insurance contributions for you.

Poor visa interview performance

Even with a complete and perfect tourist visa application, you can still be denied a visa if you don't perform well during the embassy interview.

If you appear flustered, lose your composure, or your answers don't match your profile, the interviewer may assume you're being dishonest and trying to conceal the true purpose of your trip.
