With over 130,000 cherry trees, it’s no surprise that Vancouver hosts a festival dedicated to these beautiful flowers every year. Started in 2005, the event features a variety of fun activities, including a haiku contest, live music performances, and a massive picnic in Queen Elizabeth Park. March is also when the city hosts its cherry blossom festival.
Macon - Georgia
This seemingly unremarkable city in central Georgia, 85 miles from Atlanta, is a sight rarely seen anywhere else in the spring.

Macon is one of the cherry blossom capitals of the world, with more than 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees lining the streets. Every spring, Macon is awash in pale pink, white, and deep pink cherry blossoms. The city is also home to the International Cherry Blossom Festival, which features a variety of entertainment and cultural events.
Jerte Valley - Spain

In the second half of March, when you come to the Jerte Valley (Valle del Jerte) in the western region of Extremadura, Spain, you will witness 2 million cherry trees blooming white as snow. The Jerte Valley is the pride of Extremadura. Every year, tourists from all over the world flock here to enjoy the pure white flowers in spring, to eat delicious red fruits in summer and admire the vivid golden leaves in autumn.
St. Louis, Missouri - USA

St. Louis' most famous landmark, the Gateway Arch, is lined with beautiful cherry blossom trees from mid-March through early April. Come explore the 14-acre Japanese Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden, which features several different cherry blossom varieties, including Higan, Yoshino, and Centennial.
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - USA

Philadelphia - the 5th largest city in the United States is considered an important cultural, educational and historical center of the country. Founded in 1682, it was the capital of the United States from 1790 to 1800. Although Philadelphia is not a place with many outstanding natural landscapes, it owns a beautiful cherry blossom park. Come to the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia held at Fairmount Park, you will admire more than 1,000 cherry blossom trees. Stop by the Shofuso Japanese Garden and you will feel like you are in the land of the Rising Sun.
Gyeongsang - South Korea

The biggest cherry blossom festival in Korea is called Jinhae Gunhangje, located in Jinhae County, Gyeongsang Province, just 4 hours by bus from Seoul. The picturesque Yeojwacheon Bridge, where cherry blossoms hang over the Yeojwacheon Stream, is one of the most beautiful places in Korea in spring. You can also enjoy a variety of street food, from traditional dishes such as stuffed squid and Korean pancakes to seasonal dishes such as cherry blossom bread, cherry blossom-shaped peach cakes.
Edinburgh - Scotland

Spring is also a great time to visit Edinburgh. In the Scottish capital, you will find cherry blossoms in places like The Meadows, a large park, or Princes Street Gardens near Edinburgh Castle.
Seattle, Washington - USA

At the University of Washington, spring is the time when the campus is lit up by rows of cherry trees. These trees were a gift from Japan to Seattle in 1912. The university received 31 transplants from the Washington Park Arboretum in the 1960s. The university’s flowering trees are now so famous they even have their own Twitter account.
Stockholm - Sweden

Traveling to Stockholm, Sweden at any time of the year is reasonable because of its temperate climate, each season has its own color. Every year, tourists flock here around March - April to participate in the hanami festival - the cherry blossom viewing festival. The ancient capital of Japan has flower viewing spots that cannot be missed such as Philosopher's Path - which follows a canal with hundreds of blooming cherry trees and Maruyama Park, famous for its extremely majestic cherry trees.
