Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 is held at Ly Thai To Monument Flower Garden

From March 23-26, the Cherry Blossom Festival will be held at the Ly Thai To Monument Flower Garden, Hoan Kiem District. The festival is part of the Japan Cultural Exchange Festival to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

The activity contributes to promoting, introducing and publicizing the image, cultural beauty, country and people of Japan to the people of Hanoi. At the festival, there are many spaces to introduce Japan such as: introducing tea ceremony, Go, traditional Kendama game, cuisine, etc. In addition, there is a Japanese Yosakoi dance performance with about 15 participating teams (each team has about 15-100 people) on Dinh Tien Hoang and Ly Thai To streets.

According to the Organizing Committee, at this festival, Hanoi city and the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam will display about 30 trees and 10,000 cherry blossom branches, ornamental bonsai, and some typical flowers of Vietnam and Hanoi.
