The uniqueness of the festival dedicated to only two species of cherry blossoms, Japanese cherry blossoms and Yen Tu yellow apricot blossoms, in the spring days at Yen Tu - the Buddhist capital of Vietnam is one of the major events responding to the National Tourism Year 2018 - Ha Long - Quang Ninh of Uong Bi City.
The uniqueness of the festival is only for 2 species of Japanese cherry blossoms - Yen Tu yellow apricot. This is one of the major events responding to the National Tourism Year 2018 - Ha Long - Quang Ninh of Uong Bi City. It is expected to display about 5,000 cherry blossom branches, 50 Japanese cherry blossom trees and 120 Yen Tu yellow apricot trees. The cherry blossoms are imported from abroad, while Yen Tu yellow apricot is a product mainly supplied from gardens in Uong Bi City and Dong Trieu Town (Quang Ninh).
The festival has the theme “Cooperation and Development - Destination of Success”. Within the framework of the program, there will be an art exchange between Japanese and Vietnamese artists with the theme “Yen Tu - Where heritage converges and fragrance spreads”, introducing some traditional Japanese cultural features. Along with the flower exhibition, the organizers plan to create more highlights through the design and display of stereoscopic flower models, made from plants and fresh flowers with the theme “Sacred Yen Tu Mountain”.
