Cherry blossom branches and trees imported from Japan, along with some characteristic flowers of Vietnam and Hanoi, will be displayed from March 10th to 12th, coinciding with the pedestrian street event.

Hanoi plans to organize seminars and cooperation exchanges to promote investment and tourism between the city and Japan during this period; as well as cultural and artistic exchanges, photo exhibitions, martial arts performances, and tea ceremonies.
These activities are part of a Japanese cultural exchange program aimed at introducing and promoting the image, cultural beauty, country, and people of Japan to the people of Hanoi. It also combines the exchange of experiences and cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, and economics between Hanoi and Japan.
Previously, Japan also regularly held cherry blossom festivals in Hanoi, attracting a large number of tourists. However, those earlier festivals displayed both artificial cherry blossoms and a few real cherry blossom trees.
