At the conference to disseminate new documents to accelerate the recovery and development of Vietnam's tourism effectively and sustainably organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet said that the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam officially took effect.
A flexible visa policy will help Vietnam attract more international visitors.
"With new visa policies such as increasing the duration of electronic visas from 30 days to 90 days and increasing the duration of unilateral visa-free temporary stay to 45 days, Vietnam's tourism industry is facing strong development opportunities in promoting the attraction of international visitors to Vietnam, especially in organizing long-term tourism programs," Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet emphasized.
According to Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet, the tourism industry needs to promptly seize opportunities from a more open visa policy as a lever to help the tourism industry develop rapidly, rapidly increasing the number of international visitors to Vietnam. Localities need to promote the dynamism, creativity and driving role of businesses in tourism recovery and development. Tourism associations should promote their role in supporting member businesses, promoting connections, helping businesses overcome difficulties together, proactively adapt, recover quickly and develop sustainably.
The conference to disseminate new documents to accelerate recovery and develop Vietnam's tourism effectively and sustainably was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In addition to the open visa policy, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued the Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2030 with the goal of promoting and positioning Vietnam as the leading attractive tourist destination in Southeast Asia, affirming the brand and competitiveness of Vietnam tourism, contributing to the implementation of the goals of the Vietnam Tourism Development Strategy to 2030.
In addition, the Project on some models for developing night tourism products of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will create conditions for developing diverse, unique, sustainable night tourism products in Vietnam with high quality and added value; thereby increasing tourist attraction, increasing spending and extending the length of stay of domestic and international tourists, contributing to making night tourism a key product for developing the night economy in Vietnam.
