"RIDE THE KOREN WAVE" - "SURF THE KOREAN WAVE"
2023 is the beginning of the Korean Tourism Year 2023 - 2024 with the slogan "Ride the Korean Wave". True to the spirit of "Surfing the Korean Wave", since the beginning of the year, KTO Vietnam has organized many unique tourism introduction programs such as: Jeollabuk-do Province Tourism Seminar; Incheon City Tourism Seminar; Gyeongsangbuk-do Province Tourism Seminar; especially the Chef Show 2023 performance was extremely successful in Hanoi with nearly 1,000 attendees in 3 days, receiving a lot of support and love from the audience.
Since the beginning of the year, KTO has organized many special introduction programs.
In late March and early April, KTO broadcast the music program Busking Hello Korea with the participation of singers from both Vietnam and Korea such as Vu Cat Tuong, Andiez, Cara, Luc Huy, Roy Nguyen, Kisu, Hoondoo. The program consists of 2 episodes posted on platforms such as Youtube, Facebook and Vieon, reaching nearly 4 million views and reaching the top trending on the Tiktok platform with a total of nearly 130 million hashtag views. In the program, not only do the singers get to sing in the beautiful spaces of Seoraksan Mountain or the white snow of Yongpyong Resort, but they also visit famous landmarks of Gangwon-do such as Gangneung Beach, Sokcho Beach, Naksansa Temple, Sokcho Seafood Market, ARTE Museum, ...
The music show "Hello Korea" is loved by a wide audience.
Following the success of previous years, the MICE Tourism Seminar - MICE Roadshow 2023 was also successfully held in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in early June with the participation of 50 representatives from 24 Korean units, 150 representatives from tourism promotion agencies, airlines, Vietnamese travel companies and many press and media units. The program is a place to connect and expand cooperation opportunities between business and travel units of the two countries, thereby developing more attractive Korean tourism products, attracting more tourists.
Along with the organization, KTO also actively participates in programs organized by Vietnamese and Korean agencies such as the Korean Cultural Road Festival, Hanoi City Tourism Festival, VITM 2023 International Tourism Fair, K-pop Lover Festival Contest. In particular, at the VITM 2023 International Tourism Fair, KTO participated with a scale of 16 booths, winning many titles such as the Largest Booth, the Most Impressive Design Booth, the Booth with the Most Attractive Activities for Visitors. VITM is an annual event that KTO always values and evaluates as one of the good opportunities to get closer to Vietnamese tourists.
After a very exciting first half of the year with many consecutive activities, KTO Vietnam is also very active in organizing and participating in a variety of programs in the second half of 2023. These include: Korean Transit Tourism Seminar, Korean Study Abroad Seminar, ITE International Tourism Fair... Along with that is a plan for famtours to experience Korean tourism, sales calls to travel companies in Vietnam. KTO is always active towards the goal of achieving nearly 400,000 Vietnamese tourists in 2023, reaching 70% compared to the time before the pandemic.

MANY ATTRACTIVE DESTINATIONS IN KOREA ARE WAITING FOR YOU
Recently, with the announcement of the list of 100 Korean tourist destinations in 2023 - 2024, KTO will focus on promoting local tourism, bringing new perspectives of Korean tourism to tourists around the world. The list includes 61 heritage sites, constructions, entertainment facilities and 39 natural-themed sites such as mountains, forests, seas, swamps... Of which, 33 are new compared to the previous list, 14 sites have appeared in this list for 6 consecutive years such as 5 royal palaces in Seoul, Jeju Olle Trail, Jeonju Hanok Village, Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Cave... all of which are loved by both domestic and international tourists.

Re-applying the transit visa exemption policy for foreign tourists
The South Korean Ministry of Justice said that from April 30, 2023, it will gradually re-apply the transit visa exemption policy for foreign tourists, which has been restricted since February 2020, to strengthen COVID-19 prevention.
The re-application of the transit visa exemption policy for foreign tourists is one of the projects to promote 'domestic demand activation measures' proposed in the "15th Emergency Economic and People's Livelihood Meeting" on March 29, 2023, chaired by the President.
