Hanoians eagerly attend the "Korea - Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival 2022"

The program takes place on December 17 & 18, 2022 with 24 booths and diverse themes. Falling right on the weekend, with beautiful weather, the festival becomes a fun and interesting destination for Hanoi people.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea as well as with the desire to create a space for cultural exchange between the two countries, the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam organizes the program "Korea - Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival 2022" at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hoan Kiem walking street, Hanoi on December 17-18, 2022.

Việt Nam là điểm đến đầu tiên mà KTO lựa chọn để quảng bá chuỗi hoạt động cho Năm Du lịch Hàn Quốc 2023 - 2024.

Vietnam is the first destination that KTO chose to promote a series of activities for Visit Korea Year 2023 - 2024.

The opening ceremony of the program took place at 6:00 p.m. on December 17, 2022 with the presence of delegates from two countries including: Mr. Kim Jangsil - Director General of the Korea Tourism Organization, Ms. Oh Youngju - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam and representatives of departments and agencies of Hanoi city. During the event, Mr. Kim Jangsil delivered the opening speech of the Festival and announced "Korea Tourism Year 2023-2024".

Before Covid 19, Vietnam was the country with the largest number of tourists to Korea in Southeast Asia - said Mr. Kim Jangsil - Director General of KTO.

The opening ceremony marks the start of a series of promotional activities for “Korea Tourism Year 2023-2024”.

The K-info booths provide general information about Korean culture, tourism, and people from the KTO, the Korean Cultural Center (KCC), and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). Next to the K-info booths are the K-Culture booths, where visitors can experience activities related to K-pop music, K-dramas, Korean food and crafts, and traditional Korean games. Next to them are the K-Brand booths, which introduce products from Korea, such as Lotte Duty Free, Kakao Friends, CGV, Woori bank, and Visang.

With 24 booths and various themes, the festival is an interesting place for Hanoi people to have fun and experience on the weekend.

Các gian hàng phong phú giúp khách tham gia được trải nghiệm các hoạt động liên quan đến âm nhạc K-pop, phim ảnh K-drama, ẩm thực và đồ thủ công, trò chơi truyền thống Hàn Quốc.

The diverse booths help visitors experience activities related to K-pop music, K-dramas, cuisine and crafts, and traditional Korean games.

The festival is also a place for leading travel companies to introduce Korean tours to tourists who want to learn through the K-Tour (K-Travel) booth. Finally, there are the K-Local (K-Destination) booths, where visitors can satisfy their virtual photography hobby with spaces simulating famous tourist destinations in Korea such as the Sea-view Train in Busan, the Manhyujeong ancient house in Andong, the romantic port in Mokpo, the hundreds-of-years-old Hanok village in Jeonju, the bus stop associated with the famous music group BTS at Jumunjin beach in Gangneung city, Gangwon province and the beautiful island known as the Hawaii of Korea - Jeju Island.

Festival attendees have the opportunity to experience traditional Korean games.

The evening show with the participation of top artists from Vietnam and Korea attracted thousands of audiences in the capital. Famous Korean music groups such as MOMOLAND, BLANK2Y and LAPILLUS appeared on the first night along with the Nonverbal art performance group - The Painters, B-Boy performance from One Way Crew and traditional Vietnamese art performances from the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater. The second night with the presence of singer Noo Phuoc Thinh, 2 rappers Phao and GDucky, the group BLANK2Y and EDM electronic music from famous DJs also promised to make the entire Hoan Kiem walking street explode.

The traditional Korean art performance captivated the audience.

Art performances from Vietnamese and Korean artists stirred up the atmosphere on the opening night of the festival at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hanoi.

Within the framework of the program, there will also be a fansign program from two music groups LAPILLUS (December 17, 2022) and BLANK2Y (December 18, 2022). BLANK2Y is currently the Honorary Ambassador of Korean Tourism in Vietnam in 2022.

Previously, on December 16, 2022, KTO organized a meeting program for Vietnam - Korea tourism partners, Korea Travel Mart and the Korean Night program - 2022 Korea Night. Korea Travel Mart is a place for travel businesses of the two countries to meet and exchange cooperation information with nearly 30 travel companies, local tourism promotion agencies from Korea and 40 Vietnamese travel agencies. 2022 Korea Tourism Night is a Korean tourism seminar and the 2022 Korean Tourism Awards Ceremony. Within the framework of the event, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Korean National Administration of Tourism also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support and jointly develop tourism between the two countries even stronger in the future.
