A festival for students.
Amidst the "labor shortage" in the Restaurant, Hotel & Food & Beverage (F&B) service industry, especially with the upcoming peak tourist season, the Hospitality Job Fair 2019 serves as a bridge for businesses and potential candidates in the industry to meet and connect with each other to solve the human resource challenge of finding the "right person for the right job".
A large number of students participated in the Hospitality Job Fair 2019.
At this year's job fair, the majority of applicants were high school and university students from schools or institutions offering training in the hospitality, food and beverage, and tourism sectors, such as: Asia-Europe Vocational Training Center, Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Tourism, Hoa Sen University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, Ton Duc Thang University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, etc.
Candidates have the opportunity to survey, approach, and interview directly with representatives from the businesses.
Throughout the event, candidates had the opportunity to survey, interact with, and interview directly with representatives from various businesses. Candidates in the beverage industry (bartender, barista, mixologist) also directly impressed recruiters through skill demonstrations on stage.

Candidate quality is a priority.
To ensure that the quality of candidates matches the quantity, thereby maximizing recruitment efficiency for businesses, the majority of applicants this year are students from universities, colleges, vocational schools, and training centers who already possess professional foundations and skills. In addition, the professional spirit and attitude of the candidates are highly valued at this year's Hospitality Job Fair. With a guaranteed pool of qualified candidates, employers can also shorten the time and cost of finding and retraining candidates after recruitment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hospitality Job Fair 2019, Mr. Ta Quang Tung – General Director of Asia-Europe Career Guidance Joint Stock Company – stated that maintaining a spirit of hospitality is the highest quality of those working in the service, restaurant, and hotel industry: “You might be a chef constantly working in a hot, stressful kitchen. You might be a bartender working when others are off. You might be a restaurant or hotel employee dealing with hundreds of difficult guests every day. But you always maintain a neat appearance, always smile, and keep a positive and calm demeanor to handle any difficulties. That is a quality not everyone possesses.”
