The idea of painting the national flag on the roof began to appear on social networks at the end of July and quickly became a phenomenon. From a trending clip on the social network Tiktok of an account named Le Quang Vu about repainting the roof in the shape of the Vietnamese national flag, in recent days, a series of other images with the same content have been posted and received positively.
On social media platforms, people in many provinces and cities across the country enthusiastically responded to this trend as a small and meaningful action to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024). Many people not only left comments expressing patriotism and pride but also enthusiastically invited each other to participate, turning it into a phenomenon in the digital space.

Nguyen Thai Trong in Ngoc Lac district, Thanh Hoa also completed the flag on the roof of his house. The 28-year-old man said he learned about this trend on social media and wanted to do it to show his patriotism. After measuring and preparing to paint, it took him 15 minutes to complete. He was the first person to do it in his hometown. In addition to the national flag, Trong plans to paint the hammer and sickle flag on the remaining roof of his house in the near future.
After doing so, the young man wrote on his personal page, calling on people in the area who wanted to paint the red flag with a yellow star on their roofs to do the same and use a flycam to film the process. So far, Trong has received requests for support from more than a dozen people. "I hope that in the near future, all roofs across the country will be covered with the red flag with a yellow star so that when looking down from above, the world will know that this territory belongs to Vietnam and how much the people love the country," Trong shared.

This is not only a task, but also a source of pride.
National pride is rising
The red flag with yellow star, the sacred symbol of the Fatherland, now flutters on every roof.
The red flag with a yellow star, the sacred symbol of the Fatherland, now flutters on every roof. That image is not only a source of national pride but also evokes many emotions. It is a memory of the heroic days of resistance, when the red flag with a yellow star fluttered over the trenches, a flame that lit up the belief in victory. And now, in peace, that flag continues to be a sacred flame, illuminating the country's path forward.
The strong bond between Vietnamese hearts
The red flag with a yellow star on every roof is not only a symbol of an independent nation but also a strong bond between Vietnamese hearts. From urban to rural areas, from lowlands to highlands, the image of that flag is like an affirmation: We are one nation, one family. That spirit of solidarity has helped the Vietnamese people overcome countless difficulties and challenges and will forever be a solid foundation for the country's development.
Every small action is a noble gesture
Not only does this movement have the potential to become a new national tradition, it can also become a part of everyday life, helping to strengthen national spirit and unite the people. In the future, the movement can be expanded with new initiatives such as organizing flag-hanging competitions or cultural events associated with the national flag.
The movement of "turning every roof into a flag" has painted a beautiful picture of love for the homeland. Who would have thought that with just a small action like painting a flag on the roof, we could create such a big ripple effect? Each flag on the roof is an affirmation of love for the homeland, an expression of national pride and a testament to the power of solidarity.
