Train number SNT4 departed from Saigon station on the evening of November 29 with 462 passengers. This is a 10-day cross-Vietnam tourist train trip. According to the group's schedule, the outbound trip departs from Hanoi to Da Nang, then continues to Binh Thuan and Ho Chi Minh City. The return trip departs from Saigon station to Nha Trang, then to Hue and back to Hanoi.
Upon arriving in Nha Trang, the group was warmly welcomed by the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association. Each tourist was given a wreath and souvenir.
This is the second charter train trip across Vietnam for foreign tourists, and the first time this trip comes to Nha Trang.
The group of 462 Chinese tourists went on a charter tour across Vietnam with a 12-day and night itinerary. The group entered Vietnam through Mong Cai border gate, Quang Ninh. After visiting Ha Long, the group moved to Hanoi to take a train tour across Vietnam with the following itinerary: Hanoi - Da Nang - Binh Thuan - Ho Chi Minh City (outbound); Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang - Hue - Hanoi (return). In Nha Trang, the group will stay 1 night at 4-star hotels; visit and experience some tourist attractions such as: Ponagar Tower, Hon Chong scenic spot, Thap Ba Nha Trang Hot Spring Center, VinWonders Nha Trang, Nha Trang Bay...

In addition, this event also aims to create connections between agencies, railway sectors, and tourism businesses in the province, aiming to build the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism as "friendly - quality - safe". At the same time, perfecting the new tourism product - Cross-Vietnam train tourism to help Khanh Hoa become one of the top destinations on the Asian tourism map, meeting the goals of Resolution 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province until 2023, with a vision to 2045.
This is a great opportunity for Khanh Hoa province to promote the local image to international friends.
By November 2024, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism had welcomed more than 10 million visitors, an increase of 53.8% over the same period in 2023 (exceeding the plan by 12.3%). Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND 48,902.3 billion, an increase of 61.5% over the same period (exceeding the plan by 22%).
Of which, the number of international visitors is estimated at more than 4.2 million, an increase of 125% over the same period (exceeding 41% of the plan); domestic visitors are estimated at 5.9 million, an increase of 25.3% over the same period (reaching 98% of the plan).
Khanh Hoa province has also strongly developed tourism infrastructure in line with the trend of in-depth and large-scale investment. Up to now, the whole province has 1,189 accommodation establishments with 66,000 rooms. Of which, the number of rooms in 4-5 star hotels accounts for 40%.
