This is Hanoi's second food street, after the Tong Duy Tan - Cam Chi street, which opened 10 years ago. Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa, also known as Truc Bach Peninsula, is located on Truc Bach Lake, covering 4.5 hectares. People and vehicles from the island to surrounding areas can be accessed via two small bridges on Tran Vu Street and Ngu Xa Street.
It is known that from 6 PM onwards, Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa will be crowded with locals and tourists enjoying grilled dishes, specialties made from pho, etc. The area surrounding the island also has many small food and beverage establishments and cafes overlooking Truc Bach Lake.

The streets within the food street are oriented towards developing businesses such as restaurants and cafes, combined with markets selling goods and OCOP products (traditional products and services with local advantages along the value chain), along with street cultural and artistic activities on weekends and during festivals.
In addition, Ba Dinh district will also strengthen efforts to ensure political security, social order and safety, fire prevention and rescue, urban order, traffic safety, prevention of social evils; culture and arts; commercial civility; food safety and hygiene, disease prevention, environmental hygiene, and landscape protection...
Once the food street is operational, the local authorities will organize food, cultural, and street art activities on weekends or during festivals.
Ngo Tam happily stopped to take photos in the pedestrian street.
Ngo Tam (24 years old, Hanoi) excitedly shared: "As soon as I heard that the grand opening was scheduled for tonight, I took advantage of lunchtime to check in and get photos with the fewest people around. Taking pictures here, I felt like I was in Hoi An."
Reportedly, during the first three days of operation, food and beverage prices at the food street will be reduced by 15% for visiting tourists.
The Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa pedestrian night food street is expected to attract tourists, contributing to economic development, improving the living environment of the people, creating momentum for the socio-economic development of the district and the development of tourism in the capital city.
