The night food street combined with the Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa walking street, Truc Bach ward will officially open at 7:00 pm on December 23. This will be the second night food street in Hanoi serving the people and tourists. Currently, all the trade unions have been almost completed and are ready to operate tonight.
The center stage and lobby are complete.
The scope of the night food and walking street of Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa includes 7 streets: Ngu Xa, Tran Te Xuong, Nguyen Khac Hieu, Mac Dinh Chi, Nam Trang, Lac Chinh and Tran Vu. The 2 central streets of the island are Ngu Xa and Nguyen Khac Hieu streets. The event takes place on 3 weekends: Friday from 6pm to 10pm; Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 10pm.
Ngu Xa Bridge is paved with asphalt, stone and has a completely new lighting system. The bridge railing is decorated with colorful lanterns.
The houses around Truc Bach Lake were repainted, giving the whole neighborhood a new look.
Initially, the government will pilot a vehicle ban to organize a food street from 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Later, Ba Dinh district will consider organizing a food street all week and increase the vehicle ban from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Businesses are rushing to complete their projects to serve residents and tourists when the food and walking street comes into operation.
Many restaurants on Ngu Xa street decorate their signs and lanterns, ready to serve tourists.
This is the second culinary street in Hanoi, after Tong Duy Tan - Cam Chi street, opened 10 years ago. Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa, also known as Truc Bach peninsula, is located on Truc Bach lake, 4.5 hectares wide, people and vehicles from the island to the surrounding areas through two small bridges at Tran Vu street and Ngu Xa street.
It is known that from 6pm onwards, Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa will have many people and tourists coming to enjoy grilled dishes, specialties made from pho... The area surrounding the island also has many small food service stores, cafes overlooking Truc Bach Lake.



The routes in the culinary street are oriented to develop restaurants and coffee shops, combined with commodity markets, OCOP products (traditional products and services with local advantages according to the value chain) along with cultural activities, street performances on weekends and festivals.
Along with that, Ba Dinh district will also strengthen the work of ensuring political security, social order and safety, fire prevention and fighting and rescue, urban order, traffic order and safety, prevention of social evils; culture, arts; commercial civilization; food hygiene and safety, disease prevention, environmental sanitation, landscape protection...
When the culinary district comes into operation, the locality will combine organizing culinary, cultural and street art activities on weekends or festivals.

Ngo Tam (24 years old, Hanoi) excitedly shared: "As soon as I heard about the opening tonight, I checked in at noon to take pictures with the fewest people. Taking pictures here, I felt like I was in Hoi An."
It is known that during the first 3 days of operation, food service prices at the culinary area will be reduced by 15% for visitors.
The night food and walking street of Ngoc Island - Ngu Xa is expected to attract tourists, contributing to economic development, improving the living environment of people, creating momentum for the socio-economic development of the district and developing tourism in the capital.
