The operation of the Da Nang - Ly Son inland waterway tourism route with a length of 70 nautical miles helps shorten the time and distance compared to using road vehicles to Quang Ngai City, then traveling by boat to Ly Son. Besides, it also creates convenience for tourists to come to Da Nang to visit and experience Ly Son Island and return on the same day.
According to Mr. Dang Tan Thanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Son island district, the locality hopes that the new sea route will welcome many tourists as well as promote trade exchange activities, agricultural products, seafood; bringing opportunities for economic and tourism development to the island district.
