Free airfare and hotel rooms for reporters of the US-North Korea Summit

In order to promote the image of Vietnam and its people on the occasion of the US-North Korea Summit, Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl, in coordination with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), provided free air tickets and hotel rooms to domestic and foreign reporters working at the International Press Center during the summit.

According to the plan, Vietnam Airlines, Vinpearl and the General Department of Tourism will give away free air tickets and hotel packages to all reporters who have registered to work at the International Press Center. Reporters can choose a package of domestic air tickets from Vietnam Airlines and 2 free nights at the 5-star Vinpearl resort system (Vinpearl Resort & Golf Nam Hoi An, Vinpearl Resort & Golf Phu Quoc, Vinpearl Resort & Spa Nha Trang) or just air tickets for domestic routes. Each reporter with a press card from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs can register for 01 gift package at the General Department of Tourism counter at the International Press Center, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi.

This activity is also a pioneering effort of Vietnam Airlines and Vinpearl together with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in promoting the development of tourism and the integration process of Vietnam in the context of Vietnam being increasingly evaluated as a friendly, safe and attractive destination, becoming a new destination in Asia.

According to official information from the Ministry of Information and Communications, nearly 3,000 international reporters from over 200 news agencies from nearly 40 countries and territories and nearly 550 Vietnamese newspapers participated in reporting on the second summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
