The event marked Vietnam Airlines becoming the first and only airline in Vietnam to bring safe, convenient in-town check-in service, keeping up with world aviation trends, to passengers in Vietnam.
The airport check-in service will assist passengers in completing flight procedures, selecting their desired seats, checking in baggage, receiving boarding passes and baggage tags right at transaction offices in the center of major cities such as Hanoi (from October 12, 2018) and Da Nang City (from early November 2018). The service applies to Vietnam Airlines domestic flights departing from Noi Bai Airport - Hanoi or Da Nang with daily office opening hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Passengers can do in-town check-in for flights during the day and no later than 02 hours before departure time.

In-town check-in service is an optimal utility that helps passengers avoid the inconvenience of having to move with bulky luggage from the city to the airport, saving time compared to checking in at the airport counter, and can take advantage of that time to fully enjoy the journey of traveling, shopping or working in the city. In-town check-in has been applied in many countries around the world such as Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia...
