When mentioning winter in Sa Pa, tourists often think of trips to "hunt" for snow. But Sa Pa in December is not only a place where the "dream of white snow" comes true; it also amazes many with its Oolong tea hills – where wild plum trees sprout leaves, painting the entire Northwest sky red.

Viewed from above, visitors will be amazed by the pale pink hues of the peach blossoms interspersed with the lush green of the tea plantations – especially in the early morning, when white clouds drift by, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene.

The tea grown here is Oolong tea, used in the production of a local tea factory. Each tea bud is a lush green, neatly trimmed and meticulously cared for by the hands of the highland laborers.

The tea hill is looked after by a H'Mông ethnic family. Visitors do not have to pay an entrance fee, but they should be mindful of preserving the overall landscape of the tea hill and absolutely not damage the tea plants or surrounding trees.

From the moment the flowers bloom, photographers from all over have flocked here to capture breathtakingly beautiful images of Sa Pa. According to many experienced photographers, sunset or sunrise, and when the sun is shining, is when the tea hills are at their most enchanting.
