World No. 2 and multiple Canadian champion Cory Wallace has been testing the tracks this year. “Every year I am surprised by a few tracks and scouting remote roads in Vietnam for the November race is one of them,” he commented.

The three-day race, taking place in the mountains around Sapa, promises to be a pioneering race as riders will be the first to experience these routes. On the first day, riders will compete over 55km of remote northern terrain, home to the Hmong ethnic group. The second stage is 68km south to the Tay and Red Dao areas. The race enters a sprint towards Sapa town, through Black Hmong villages.
