On the evening of September 13, Mr. Le Hoa Binh, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, answered people's questions about "Ho Chi Minh City's plan to fight the epidemic and restore the economy after September 15" via livestream in the program "People ask - City answers".
People wonder if they will still use travel permits after September 30? Mr. Binh said that there are currently 17 groups of people who are issued travel permits. After September 6, the travel permit will be extended until September 15; and after September 30, Ho Chi Minh City will no longer apply travel permits but will use the VNEID travel application managed by the Ministry of Public Security. People's data will be updated on this application, and anyone who meets the conditions for safe travel (vaccination, safe destination, compliance with 5K...) will be able to travel without a travel permit.
Regarding the opinion of the people that currently Ho Chi Minh City has too many applications, Mr. Binh explained that the Prime Minister has directed that only one application will be used in the near future. The city is currently calculating the plan, the Department of Information and Communications is responsible for integrating it into one application for easy management.
