On August 23rd, Kim Dong Publishing House officially released the classic manga series "Royal Mark" (Japanese: Ouke No Monshou), the new title for "Queen of Egypt". When Kim Dong Publishing House decided to republish this series, they reused the original title "Royal Mark" to better align with the Japanese original and create consistency in the manga market.
"Royal Mark" is the new Vietnamese translation of Chieko Hosokawa's 1977 manga. It's a fantasy, historical, and time-traveling story with many captivating plot twists and interesting discoveries about Cairo, ancient Egypt. In the 1990s and 2000s, the series was published in Vietnam under the title "Queen of Egypt," a beloved part of the childhood of many 80s and 90s readers. Its return under the new title "Royal Mark" has created a real sensation among manga enthusiasts. The Vietnamese translation, published by Kim Dong Publishing House, fully fulfills the expectations of its fans.

Across forums and Facebook groups, the "Royal Mark" fan community is currently buzzing with excitement, proudly showing off their achievements in acquiring the complete set of the first five episodes, along with impressive gifts, posters, and postcards. After years of anticipation, the fans' dream has finally come true.
Phuong Loan (1989) shared with Travellive: "Since hearing the news that The Queen of Egypt was being published, I couldn't contain my excitement. I've been reading this series since 7th grade, more than 20 years ago. Because I was so excited to get my hands on this childhood comic, I even planned to go at 2 AM because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to buy it. But probably because of the rain, when I arrived at 5 AM, I still saw only a few people waiting to buy the comic. Sitting there waiting until I held the first 5 volumes in my hands along with the eye-catching poster, I felt so happy and excited, like I was going back to my childhood. I especially like the romantic love story between Memphis and Carol, the beautiful and eye-catching illustrations, and the time-traveling plot which makes it even more appealing. In my opinion, both the new and old versions have their own merits, but the new version has better colors and quality."

Also from the early 90s generation, Duc Tuan (1991) said: "I didn't think there would be so many fans lining up to get their hands on the comic. It's true that this series is always popular, regardless of the era."
Previously, on May 15th, Kim Dong Publishing House announced that it would not use the cover design by author Ta Quoc Ky Nam due to the artist's inappropriate statements that negatively impacted the work, the author, readers, and the publisher. This event also caused the "Royal Mark" series to be delayed until August.

Notably, the background color of the cover changes with each volume, which has impressed fans. Since the announcement of the "Royal Mark" series, readers of all ages have shown particular interest in the work. The level of interaction under each of Kim Dong Publishing House's posts about the series is also extremely high.

The central character of the series is Carol Reed, a 16-year-old American girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, the daughter of a billionaire family, studying archaeology in Cairo, Egypt. When her family sponsors the excavation and research of a young pharaoh's tomb, a curse from the tomb befalls her family. This curse transports her back to ancient Egypt, where she becomes entangled in the affairs of Egypt and other ancient nations such as Assyria and Babylon. There, Carol meets Memphis – a young and valiant pharaoh whose tomb her family excavated in the modern world. They fall in love and overcome many challenges together. This angers Memphis's half-sister, Isis, who has long awaited to marry Memphis.

With her modern scientific knowledge, Carol became an important figure in ancient history, known as the "Princess of the Nile" or "The most beautiful lotus flower of the Mediterranean." Her beauty and wisdom indirectly caused many political intrigues and wars between kingdoms. The tumultuous love story between Carol and Memphis, the brave young pharaoh, also captivated readers. Carol frequently fell into dangerous traps, but thanks to her intelligence and Memphis's rescue, she escaped danger many times and helped Egypt fight against hostile plots to conquer the nation.
