In 1992, the Oktoberfest was first introduced to the social events chain in Vietnam by the German business community and has become one of the most anticipated events, welcoming more than 9,000 foreign and local visitors during the 6-night event in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The event is co-organized by the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA), the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam), together with the Nikko Saigon Hotel and the JW Marriot Hanoi Hotel, under the patronage of the German Embassy in Hanoi and the German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the event will take place at Nikko Saigon Hotel, Nikko Garden, from September 26 to September 28, between 6pm and 11pm.
In the capital Hanoi, the event will take place at JW Marriott Hanoi, from October 17 to October 19, still in the time frame of 6pm - 11pm.
Apart from the prestige and 5-star service quality that our two prestigious partner hotels bring, the reason why we have been working with them to organize events for many years is because of their unique facilities. Both venues can provide spacious outdoor areas that allow us to set up large tents, also known as "Festzelt" like in Germany, with a capacity of 1,300 - 1,400 guests per event night. This year in particular, to add to the authentic atmosphere of the real Oktoberfest, we are pleased to introduce Paulaner beer, brewed exclusively and served in the Paulaner beer tent at the Munich Oktoberfest. This led to our decision on the name of this year’s event in Ho Chi Minh City: GBA-Paulaner Oktoberfest 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to enjoying unlimited German beer in their own Oktoberfest beer mugs, attendees will be treated to a buffet of high-class German cuisine, traditional cuisine at the event that will surely satisfy the senses of even the most demanding guests. Traditional music and special performances will be presented by the famous “AntonShow Band” from Munich.
