Jazz musician Michael Schiefel, who has always been praised by the German press as a unique phenomenon in the country's jazz scene, will, through the Goethe Institute Hanoi, introduce to Vietnamese audiences Italian drummer Davide Pasqualini, Polish-born jazz guitarist Gabriel Niedziela, and German cellist Jörg Brinkmann.

Along with saxophonist Nguyen Bao Long and pianist Nguyen Huu Vuong of the JumpForJazz group from Vietnam, Europe and Vietnam will come together in jazz melodies. The gala concert celebrates multiculturalism in jazz and reaffirms that music knows no language barriers. The evening before, the artists will perform an improvisational concert at the Goethe Institute Hanoi. Interested jazz musicians are welcome to bring their own instruments and improvise with our artists. The program is free for all young musicians as well as all audience members.
Free tickets will be distributed from May 5, 2016 at the Goethe Institute Hanoi (from 9 am) and via the Facebook page of the European Union Delegation.
