Hua Phan borders Thanh Hoa province, facilitating travel and connecting tourism tours. Furthermore, the province boasts numerous unique cultural and historical heritage sites and natural landscapes, attracting tourists to explore. The two localities have a close cooperative relationship, creating a solid foundation for the implementation of interconnected tourism activities.
Thanh Hoa province is developing a plan with Laos to promote local tourism.
Located in the northeastern part of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Hua Phan province boasts 157 tourist areas, including 64 scenic spots, 64 historical sites, and 29 cultural sites. Among these, the province's most important tourist highlight is Vieng Xay district – the famous resistance capital of Laos – which has become a favorite destination for many visitors.
According to the leaders of the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the unit will soon take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to organize a delegation of businesses and journalists to survey and experience the area in order to develop and promote tourism tours and routes connecting the two provinces of Thanh Hoa and Houaphan.
Specifically, in Thanh Hoa, the delegation will focus on surveying several locations such as the Ngam Village Community Tourism Area, Bo Cung Cave, Tu Ma Hai Dao Temple, and Na Meo Border Gate (Quan Son District)...
In Houaphan Province (Laos), the survey team visited Kaysone Phomvihane's house (in President Kaysone's garden), the Kaysone Phomvihane cave revolutionary base, the Politburo meeting room, Nouhak Phoumsavan's house; Nouhak Phoumsavan cave, Prince Souphanouvong's cave (Viengxay); Wat PhoXayanalam pagoda stupa, Sam Neua market, Sam Neua square (Sam Neua town).
Each tour is designed to combine a diverse range of tourism products, offering visitors a rich and fulfilling experience. Visitors can directly participate in cultural activities and community life, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the local culture and people.
Developing tourism tours connecting Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan is expected to contribute to attracting international tourists to both Thanh Hoa and Hua Phan.
