The project named "Night Street in the Imperial City of Hue" was unanimously approved by the leaders of Hue city, with the goal of recreating the space of an "old Hue", located in the area outside the Imperial City including 4 roads around the Hue Imperial City: Hai Muoi Ba Thang Tam, Dang Thai Than, Le Huan and Doan Thi Diem.
According to Mr. Vo Le Nhat, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Thua Thien - Hue Province, the city will initially pilot the night street on Le Huan Street and Hai Muoi Ba Thang Tam Street every Friday and Saturday night. The closing time and implementation of the organization plan starts from 19:00, the performance time of the Night Street is from 20:00. Present at the night street are mainly traditional handicraft products, culinary businesses...
Preparing for the night market at August 23rd Street in front of Hue Imperial City
Currently, units are installing lighting, renovating parks and green areas in the Imperial Citadel area, creating space for outdoor performances. The Hue Monuments Conservation Center is also working with the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater to unify performing arts programs and build a weekly program framework.
After opening, the night market will organize many types of performances, folk games, traditional craft villages and royal cuisine... These activities aim to promote and honor the traditional cultural values of Hue, serving local people and tourists.

Opening Hue Imperial City Night Street is also the first step for the Project on developing the night economy in Vietnam approved by the Prime Minister, and is also the basis for proposing a pilot implementation of the Night Economy Project in Thua Thien Hue province later.
