Through the introduction of a friend, Nguyen Trong Cung - a freelance photographer came to Mang Den to return to a peaceful space with majestic nature.
Located in Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province, Mang Den is known as a plateau in the Truong Son range with an altitude of over 1,200 m above sea level, in the North of the Central Highlands and about 50 km from Kon Tum city. Thanks to this impressive altitude, Mang Den is considered a fairyland with a diverse ecosystem and fresh air that is not inferior to tourist destinations such as Da Lat and Sa Pa.
Mang Den is a place of pure beauty, somewhat simple and rustic.
A journey to heal the soul
Having experienced many backpacking trips, this was the first time Mr. Cung had a long trip to the Central Highlands. Arriving at Mang Den, he chose to travel by motorbike on winding roads, with green pine forests on both sides and wild orchids giving off a light fragrance.
“Mang Den left me with an impression because of its many pine trees. Pine trees have antibacterial and air-cleaning properties, so this place brings a pleasant feeling, suitable for those who like a quiet, chill space,” the photographer confided.
Romantic roads with cool green pine forests on both sides.
As an original wild ecological area, Mang Den still preserves a rich flora and fauna, diverse in species. Mang Den has seven unique lakes and three waterfalls such as: Dak Ke, Pa Sy, Lo Ba, Toong Dam lake, Toong Zori, Toong Po... suitable for a soul-healing vacation.
In the early mornings, when the pine hills are still sleeping, the weather in the forest is a bit chilly, the dew drops gently fall from the pine canopy to the road like a melodious song that captivates people's hearts. Seeing the sun gradually rise, turning the sky red creates a poetic and lyrical picture.

A place to "heal" and escape from the noisy, crowded, dusty city.
Besides, the trip is also an opportunity for Mr. Cung to experience the unique cuisine and customs of ethnic groups such as Xe Dang, Mo Nam, Ka Dong, Hre...
Sharing with Travellive, the photographer said: “Mang Den is not like Da Lat, it is a sad, ghostly town immersed in the year-round cold, under the pine trees rustling in the wind, in a small alley nestled in the hazy mist of the remote highland mountains.”
Mang Den is a land with a lot of tourism potential.
The best time to travel to Mang Den
Thanks to its impressive height, Mang Den has a climate quite similar to Da Lat, creating cool and pleasant weather all year round. The average temperature is about 26°C and the lowest in winter is about 5°C. With this climate, you can choose to visit in all months of the year. Depending on each month, this land will show its own beauty when wearing a new "coat".
The weather in Mang Den is also sometimes humid, sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy, like a young couple in love, sometimes happy, sometimes upset, sometimes angry. "The pouring rain in the Central Highlands is very scary, you should not move during thunderstorms," Mr. Cung added.
