Located on the Bund financial street in Shanghai, China, the Fosun Foundation Theater makes locals and tourists stop to admire and marvel at the unique beauty of art combined with technology.
With 4 floors above ground and 4 underground floors with a total area of 190,000 m2, the building was designed with inspiration from the architecture of traditional Chinese opera houses. The exterior of the building was designed with the idea of stage curtains. They are made up of 675 copper-plated metal bars, filled with grain and joint details to look like bamboo tubes, arranged parallel to each other, forming three layers of curtains covering the entire front of the building, expressing the Asian spirit of this cultural work. The special thing is that these tubes can move rhythmically like real stage curtains thanks to electric motor shafts, capable of moving according to a pre-programmed program. When the "curtain" moves, the glass window frames and yellow railings will slowly be revealed.

As the "shard" runs, the glass window frames and yellow railings will slowly be revealed.
This unique design makes it difficult for many people to find their way inside the building. Cafes and souvenir shops are located on the ground floor while the upper floors are used for traditional drama performances.

The Fosun Foundation Building has become an architectural and cultural icon of Shanghai.
The Fosun Foundation Building is located right next to the Bund, on the west bank of the Huangpu River - where there are many historical relics and old quarters. Although it has just been put into operation, this center has become an architectural and cultural symbol of Shanghai and is a must-see destination for many tourists when coming to this city.
