In the opposite direction from District 1 to District 4, the vehicle can follow the route: Ton Duc Thang Street - Me Linh Square - Hai Ba Trung Street - Le Thanh Ton - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Thai Binh (or Nguyen Cong Tru Street) - Calmette - Calmette Bridge - Doan Van Bo Street - Hoang Dieu - Nguyen Tat Thanh.
Central streets in Ho Chi Minh City were banned from traffic on the evening of December 31 to celebrate the New Year 2023, serving people to have fun and watch fireworks.
Alternative route from District 1 to Thu Duc City: Vo Van Kiet Street - parallel - Pasteur - Ly Tu Trong - Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Huu Canh - Thu Thiem Bridge - Nguyen Co Thach - Mai Chi Tho. In the opposite direction, vehicles from Thu Duc to District 1 can follow the route: Mai Chi Tho - Nguyen Co Thach - Thu Thiem Bridge - Nguyen Huu Canh Street - Ton Duc Thang - Le Duan - Paris Commune - Han Thuyen Street - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Vo Van Kiet.
From 8:00 p.m. on December 31 to 0:00 a.m. on January 1, 2023, vehicles are not allowed to enter 7 streets in District 1, including: Ton Duc Thang (from Me Linh Square to Khanh Hoi Bridge), Dong Khoi (from Mac Thi Buoi Street to Ton Duc Thang); Hai Trieu (from Ho Tung Mau to Nguyen Hue); Ham Nghi, Vo Van Kiet (from Ho Tung Mau to Ton Duc Thang); Ho Huan Nghiep and Ngo Duc Ke (from Me Linh Square to Dong Khoi Street).
District 4 has two routes that are banned from traffic during the above time, including: Nguyen Tat Thanh (from Hoang Dieu Street to Khanh Hoi Bridge) and Ben Van Don (from Nguyen Truong To to Nguyen Tat Thanh). Thu Thiem 2 Bridge connecting Thu Duc City to District 1, vehicles are also not allowed to pass.
The Department of Transport advises people not to stop, park or gather on the following bridges: Khanh Hoi, Mong, Calmete, Ong Lanh, Thu Thiem, Thu Thiem 2, Saigon, Phu My, bridges on Mai Chi Tho Street and on the roof of Thu Thiem Tunnel, to watch fireworks.
