This result was analyzed by Agoda based on the booking data of this platform, compared from May to August 2022. Since the beginning of summer until now, the tourism industry in Ho Chi Minh City has witnessed a strong recovery. Many 4-5 star hotels said that room occupancy rates have skyrocketed to 85-90% during the peak summer season. Entertainment venues have also welcomed a large number of visitors.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that since the pandemic, Ho Chi Minh City tourism has determined to change direction: not only playing the role of a market providing visitors to destinations across the country but also becoming an attractive destination, attracting visitors to visit and explore.
In recent times, the department, together with districts and businesses, has focused on developing new products and more attractive tours for domestic and international visitors. Coming to the tourist city, in addition to familiar attractions in the central area, visitors have more options for half-day or one-day tours in more distant districts.

On an international scale, Vietnam leads the list of destinations that attract the most Korean tourists.
