Indian slums are not so scary
The slums (or slums or slumdogs) in Mumbai (India) are not recorded exactly when they were established. It was only really known to the world thanks to the hit movie Slumdog Millionaire, released more than 10 years ago. The movie woke the world up to another world that existed.
Mumbai is the South Asian country's largest economy. Part of Mumbai looks like a miniature Europe. Part of it is rundown. Among the runsdown are dozens of slums and millions of people living in them.
Daily life of Indian slum dwellers
Slum Dharavi is one of the largest slums in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia. Slum Dharavi covers an area of about 2 km2, with just over 1 million people living together, is considered one of the largest slums in the world. All these figures make Dharavi one of the most densely populated areas in the world, where neighbors can easily walk out of their houses and run into each other.
The slums are small, cramped, smelly and infested with rats. These are common features of slums in India.
Unlike the slum scene, the people here are always cheerful, they laugh and talk a lot. The happiest time is when they celebrate a local religious festival.
Most Chinese people do not use social networks much.
Before coming to China, many Vietnamese people must have tried many Chinese dishes. Chinese dishes are diverse. However, all are modified to suit Vietnamese taste.
Some dishes in mainland China are super spicy, mainland people do not use Facebook. That is something that people who cannot eat spicy food should always keep in mind when traveling abroad. When the waiter serves it, it is a super spicy, super hot hot pot. At that time, you have to ignore the deliciousness to eat until you are full, to finish.
In China, social media is quite restricted.
In addition, one of the problems that tourists often encounter when traveling to China is the limited access to the Internet by the local government, known as the “Great Firewall of China”. In particular, social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as foreign news sites are blocked by the government. However, in China, only domestic applications are used with similar features to global applications. To be able to access them, you must use a VPN.
Europe is not all glamour
Europe is currently sought after by many tourists. In fact, many people do not set a goal to visit countries near Vietnam first, but only have a desire to visit Europe once in their life.
It is easy to see through social networks and movies that Europe is very beautiful, splendid, a place of wealth that is hard to reach. What we see about Europe is often flamboyant and part of the Western manners become the standards of civilized people - that is a matter of history.
If you go to France, Belgium, Italy... you will be overwhelmed by the architectural works with the pinnacle of art. Even the smallest paving bricks are arranged very neatly. The manners in shopping at supermarkets are not necessary to discuss, the process is very neat and there are no unnecessary steps.
Europe also has sidewalk stalls, not just supermarkets.
Everything seems to be fine if you do not go to the remote areas. The scenery becomes completely different. And you cannot avoid the evils such as pickpocketing and theft when traveling on public transport in European cities. These subjects seem to operate very professionally, with decisive and very fast movements.
Some places appear with quite shabby scenes. Scenes that no tourist can imagine that they will appear in European countries. Europe also has sidewalk stalls, not just modern supermarkets and convenience stores. Prices in such stores are often cheaper.
