Malaysian Food Week at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel presents to diners in Hanoi the Malaysian Food Week, taking place from August 30th to September 5th, 2017 at Oven D'or restaurant. The program is a collaboration between the Malaysian Embassy and Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.

 

Malaysia boasts a culinary scene that blends diverse styles from renowned cuisines around the world, from neighboring Asian countries like China and India to Western nations such as Portugal, the Netherlands, and England, while still preserving its traditional flavors. This unique fusion has resulted in a highly varied and captivating Malaysian cuisine with distinctive flavors that are both familiar and novel.

 

 

At Oven D'or during the Malaysian Food Week, diners will enjoy a menu of authentic Malaysian dishes featuring traditional foods such as curry, satay, grilled fish, and char kuay teow (stir-fried noodles). In particular, the dishes will offer diners a truly authentic culinary experience as they are prepared by two talented guest chefs from Malaysia, Sazli Nazim Bin Ismail and Mohammad Wafit Bin Mahtar, who work at the 5-star Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur hotel. Chef Sazli Nazim Bin Ismail has over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hotel industry. With his exceptional skills, he has twice won the "Best Chef" award in the "Culinaire Malaysia 2007, 2013" competition and many other prestigious awards. Meanwhile, chef Mohammad Wafit Bin Mahtar, who won the gold medal at the 2017 iChef competition for "Innovative Breakfast," is sure to bring creative and impressive dishes to the week.

Besides enjoying delicious food, during the first three days of the week (August 30th, 31st, and September 1st), diners attending the event will be treated to vibrant performances by Malaysian artists, including dance performances, traditional musical instrument performances, and a demonstration of making the unique Teh Tarik (or "Pulled Tea"), performed by Malaysia's Teh Tarik Ambassador, Norazlin Bin Mat Janus.

 

Oven D'or restaurant serves lunch and dinner buffets with prices starting from VND620,000 per person.

 

 

Located on the second floor of the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Oven D'or restaurant boasts a modern design with a luxurious lobby area and a buffet area conveniently arranged along the seating rows, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is divided into smaller sections, including a VIP area, offering various options for diners wishing to host family gatherings, company parties, or simply enjoy a meal with a friend.
