Following the success of the Japanese Film Week in September-October 2020, this time the Japanese Film Week returns to BHD Star with many films showcasing Japanese culture. From January 16th to 22nd, at BHD Star Bitexco and BHD Star Thao Dien cinemas, a series of popular Japanese films will be presented to the audience.
In particular, the couple Dong Nhi & Ong Cao Thang will appear at the opening event of Japan Film Week 2021 as special guests. Audiences can come and "watch a movie with their idols" from 3 PM to 5:30 PM on January 16th at the 5th floor of Vincom Mega Mall.

Come and kiss me at midnight.The film was chosen as the opening film for the 2021 Japanese Film Week in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on the popular manga series “Gozen 0 ji, Kiss Shi ni Kite yo,” it was directed by Takehiko Shinjo. Hinana is the most serious student in her class, but she's actually a girl who always dreams of fairytale romance. One day, movie star Kaede Ayase visits her school. A fateful encounter ensues between Hinana and Kaede. Could this be the beginning of their fairytale?
Parallel Worlds: A Love StoryOriginally a novel by author Higashino Keigo, considered unsuitable for film adaptation, it has now been brought to the big screen by director Mori Yoshitaka. The story follows two men and a woman, traveling between two different worlds. Takashi and his childhood friend Tomohiko work at a modern research company, with Mayuko as Tomohiko's girlfriend. One morning, Takashi wakes up in utter confusion, realizing he's in another world – a world where he and Mayuko are lovers.
Osan marries Ishun, an older and stingy man who deals in rolled paper. She is then falsely accused by one of her husband's employees, a misunderstanding that leaves both feeling deeply ashamed and contemplating suicide. However, love blossoms between them, and they decide to elope and start a new life.A forbidden love- A black-and-white film inspired by Chikamatsu Monzaemon's play, produced by director Kenji Mizoguchi.
