Art Week for Smiles in South Hoi An

“Art Week for Smiles” with a series of art creation activities at the destination and painting exhibitions, will be held from November 5-10, 2020 at TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An resort, with the companionship of Travellive magazine.

The first 9 months of 2020 have brought many global upheavals due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. With a pandemic still raging, leading to waves of social change taking place strongly around the world, many businesses, organizations and individuals believe that in the last months of 2020, they still have time to make history.

With the aim of introducing to the public the beauty of the landscape, history, culture and people at destinations in the southern region of Quang Nam through an artistic perspective, along with fundraising activities for disadvantaged children in Vietnam, TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An opens the program "Art Week for Smiles", in collaboration with Travellive, VTV1, Operation Smile and many other units.

A series of destination art creation activities and painting exhibitions will be held from November 5 to 10, 2020 at TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An - the first international resort located on Tam Tien beach, Quang Nam, belonging to the German-based TUI travel group. All proceeds from the program will be donated to Operation Smile, aiming to bring brighter futures to children in need of smile surgeries.

“This is a very meaningful project to restart economic activities and promote tourism in the Quang Nam region, which has been affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and has strongly affected the lives of businesses and people,” said Mr. Nguyen Viet Phuong, Chief Representative of Operation Smile in Vietnam.

TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An is located on the peaceful Tam Tien beach.

The paintings created by the artists during the journey will be selected and kept for the painting auction program held at the year-end party at TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An on December 31, 2020.

“The group of artists who went to create works this time has 10 artists and 1 journalist. There are all generations of artists from senior artists (78 years old) to young artists (30 years old). Most of the artists are members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Some artists work in management at large national publishing houses, and many artists have participated in many domestic and international exhibitions and won many awards,” said artist Ngo Thanh Nhan, representing the group of artists from the Vietnam Fine Arts Association participating in this project.

During the art week event, TUI BLUE Nam Hoi An will provide free admission tickets for visitors to visit, enjoy art and interact with artists.
