The Miss Tourism World 2022 finals will take place from November 14th to December 3rd with the theme "Bringing the World to Vietnam" in 5 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, and Vinh Phuc, with the participation of 71 contestants from various countries and territories. This is the first beauty pageant in the world to be organized in the form of creative content activities through evaluating the contestants' experiences.

The competition aims to connect heritage and promote tourism, fostering and boosting global tourism development. This will help unite nations and contribute to promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to the world through the competition's activities.
At the press conference, Mr. Bui Hong Do, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, said: “Organizing the final round in Vinh Phuc is an opportunity to promote tourism and scenic spots of Vinh Phuc province in particular and tourism nationwide in general. This is not just a simple competition, but also a way to support international contestants in learning about Vietnamese culture, people, and scenic spots... Vinh Phuc province has carefully prepared the conditions for the final round, especially the final awards ceremony.”

Accordingly, contestants will have many diverse activities to promote famous destinations. From November 14th to 16th, contestants will embark on a journey to explore heritage sites, scenic spots, historical and cultural relics from Hanoi, with visits to Hoan Kiem Lake, Temple of Literature, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Bat Trang pottery village, and more.
Next, from November 16th to 27th, the contestants will continue their journey exploring history, culture, and heritage sites such as: Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Bai Dinh Pagoda (Ninh Binh); Hung Temple National Special Monument Area (Phu Tho); Moc Chau grassland, Ban Moong hot springs, Dai Yem waterfall, Pa Uon bridge (Son La); Tay Thien scenic area with Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery, Tam Dao tourist area (Vinh Phuc)...
From November 27th to December 5th, contestants will participate in activities in Vinh Phuc province such as: visiting the Tay Thien scenic area, Truc Lam Tay Thien Zen Monastery, Tam Dao tourist area (discovered and built by the French in the early 19th century), Binh Son Tower, Gia Loan Temple - Bien Son Pagoda… Contestants will also participate in tree planting and environmental protection activities.
First runner-up Bui Minh Anh from the Miss Tourism 2020 pageant attended the press conference announcing the final round of the Miss Tourism World 2022 competition.
Ms. Vu Thi My Dung, Director of Tam and Cam Media Company - the unit holding the copyright to organize the Miss Tourism International 2022 competition in Vietnam - said that before the final night of the competition, the organizing committee will select 5 contestants representing 5 provinces and cities to act as ambassadors promoting tourism in those 5 localities.
"The competition aims to promote Vietnam's tourist destinations in general, and Hanoi in particular, to tourists worldwide. All contestants will use their phones to record clips showcasing the beautiful scenery of Vietnam that they have visited and experienced," said Ms. Vu Thi My Dung.
The videos are made in two languages: English and the contestant's native language. They are then submitted to the organizers for judging and uploading to the competition website. Simultaneously, contestants must pass exams in etiquette, national costume, and receive scores for their videos showcasing and experiencing Vietnamese tourist destinations and heritage sites. With the contestants' massive fan bases and followers, information about Vietnam's tourist destinations and heritage sites will spread widely, creating a strong and rapid impact across the 71 participating countries. This is also a way for Vietnam to promote its image and people, attract international visitors, and stimulate tourism after the impact of Covid-19.

“Through the journey through heritage regions, contestants will participate in many practical activities to promote and publicize the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Vietnam's tourist destinations to friends around the world. This is why the Miss Tourism World 2022 final will not include a bikini swimsuit competition,” Ms. My Dung shared.
Miss Tourism World 2022 is the world's first beauty pageant organized in the form of creative content review and experience sharing activities by contestants to find a beauty representative, with the goal of connecting heritage and promoting tourism, and fostering the development of global tourism.
The organizers also announced that the final round of the competition will take place at Ho Chi Minh Square Park in the center of Vinh Yen city (Vinh Phuc province) on December 3rd.
