European tourists, especially German tourists, show great interest in Vietnam.

The launch of direct flights to Munich is a particularly important milestone in the airline's journey to expand its international route network. Twenty years ago, Vietnam Airlines began operating its first route between Vietnam and Germany, and over the past two decades, the airline has served more than 3.1 million passengers with nearly 14,000 flights.

The launch of direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich not only opens up new opportunities for tourism and trade, but also contributes to promoting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, bringing the two countries closer together.

Tourism experts believe that Germany is one of the world's largest source markets for tourists because its citizens have a tradition of traveling, high spending power, and longer tour durations. Therefore, Vietnamese tourism businesses need to seize the opportunity, leverage Vietnam's tourism potential, and intensify promotional efforts to attract German-speaking tourists; while also focusing on developing unique products, improving service quality, and training and enhancing German language skills for tourism personnel, especially tour guides, in order to effectively exploit this potential market.
