In 2023, German tourists will be the third largest tourist market for Vietnam in the European Union. Vietnam is a favorite Asian destination for European tourists to choose for their vacation this year.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first 8 months of this year, the number of visitors to Vietnam by air reached 9.7 million, accounting for 84.7% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam and an increase of 41% over the same period last year. In particular, the number of German tourists to our country increased significantly.

The opening of direct flights to Munich is a particularly important milestone in the airline's journey to expand its international flight network. 20 years ago, Vietnam Airlines began operating the first route between Vietnam and Germany, and over the past two decades, the airline has served more than 3.1 million passengers on nearly 14,000 flights.

The opening of direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich not only opens up new opportunities for tourism and trade, but also contributes to promoting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, bringing the two countries closer together.
