After nearly 11 months of testing, revisions and the constant efforts of the production team, the first 4 episodes with a duration of 5 minutes/episode will be broadcast on VinTaTa's official Youtube channel at 12:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 20:00. The following episodes will be broadcast regularly at 20:00 on Thursday and 16:00 on Sunday every week.
Taking the mission of “bringing laughter to children” as a guiding principle for development, “Monta in the strange galaxy” is the first film produced by the Vietnamese animation studio VinTaTa. The series revolves around the character Monta, a mischievous, cute monkey who is also brave and quick-witted. Monta and his “strange” friends go to “strange” places to solve extremely “strange” problems.

With a unique and open-ended plot rich in science fiction and a cast of "weird" but lovable characters, with distinctive and memorable personalities, "Monta in the Weird Galaxy" will take "young" audiences on a fun journey, where they can find meaningful messages conveyed in a close and honest way.

Sharing with the press, Director of VinTaTa Animation Studio Nguyen Phi Phi Anh said: “After nearly a year of accompanying the mischievous monkey Monta and his friends on their journey to “weird” planets across the galaxy, we have increasingly understood the world and characters in the film, thereby building a consistent plot with the most “weird” ideas. We hope to satisfy the creative minds of children and become a favorite “spiritual food” in every Vietnamese family.”

“Monta in the strange galaxy” comes from the script idea of the group of authors The Whale Hunters – including 4 members: Nguyen Hoang Vu (1993), Luong Vo Thanh Luan (1988), Sy Huu Vinh (1988) and Duong Minh Loc (1988) – the team won the first prize in the “Famous Author” contest organized by Vintata at the end of 2017.
The film's detailed script was then supported in development by veteran screenwriter Jeffrey Scott, who has been nominated 5 times and won 3 times at the Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. With experience creating animated films for globally famous brands such as Disney's DuckTales, Marvel's superhero cartoons, etc., Jeffrey contributed to bringing humorous elements in the international language, while still highlighting the soulful, profound features of the Vietnamese people.
