Hanoi's sunset is a moment that touches the deepest emotions, making anyone stop, listen, and feel the tranquility amidst the bustling capital. Every evening, as the last rays of sunlight fade, the entire city seems to be covered in a vibrant cloak, creating vivid and emotionally evocative natural landscapes.
The setting sun cast its light upon the water's surface, reflecting a breathtaking array of colors.
Endless inspiration
For Pham Tu, Hanoi sunsets are not only a source of creative inspiration but also moments where he finds peace and healing after a long day.
Pham Tu shared: "Hanoi has quite a few beautiful sunset viewing spots. One of them that cannot be overlooked is the areas around West Lake and Long Bien Bridge. In addition, Ngoc Lam ferry terminal, not far from the foot of Long Bien Bridge, is also a very popular sunset viewing spot. From here, you can admire the sunset and experience the unique beauty of Hanoi from a different perspective."

"Who took my summer away?"
According to the young photographer, the period from May to August is when the sunsets in Hanoi are at their most beautiful. Summer, with its bright sunshine and clear blue skies, provides the ideal conditions for the last rays of sunlight to create stunning scenes. The golden-orange sunlight blends with the blue of the sky and the pink of the clouds, creating an indescribably romantic sunset.

A place where time seems to stand still.
"I used to want to capture the most beautiful sunset photos, but now just watching the sunset makes me happy. I always feel so relaxed, like I'm being healed whenever I see a sunset," Pham Tu said.
Memories are painted with the colors of sunset.
Watching the sunset is not just about enjoying the beautiful scenery, but also a moment to pause, reflect, and feel life. Pham Tu shared that he has many memorable experiences with Hanoi sunsets: "The memory of breaking up with my girlfriend of three years with the sunset at West Lake is probably the most unforgettable, then there are the times I've photographed sunsets for many people visiting Hanoi. The memory of the first time I met my important mentor who guided me in photography during a sunset photoshoot at Ngoc Lam Wharf - Long Bien Bridge... Those memories, whether sad or happy, have become an unforgettable part of my life."
And having lived through half my life, I understand that all the comings and goings in life are impermanent, leaving only me and the sunset...
Furthermore, Hanoi's sunset is also the ideal time to enjoy unique culinary experiences. Tourists can visit lakeside cafes, enjoy a fragrant cup of coffee, or simply sit on stone benches by the lake and savor sticky rice cakes and shrimp cakes – typical Hanoi delicacies. The feeling of enjoying delicious food, sitting with loved ones or friends, and watching the stunning sunset will surely be an unforgettable experience for anyone.
