Two Vietnamese airports rank among the world's best.

The international organization Skytrax has just announced the results of its ranking of airports worldwide. Accordingly, Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), under the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), has been included in the "World's Top 100 Airports 2020" for the fifth consecutive year.

According to ACV representatives, achieving these results amidst the numerous difficulties faced by the domestic and global aviation industry due to the Covid-19 pandemic is the result of tremendous efforts to improve the quality of services at Noi Bai Airport.

Specifically, to enhance control capabilities and ensure accurate and timely operational decision-making, units operating at the airport have jointly participated in centralized operations at the Airport Operation Control Center (AOCC); non-aviation businesses and taxi companies are required to commit to ensuring service quality and strictly penalize violations; maintaining channels for receiving passenger feedback such as suggestion boxes, email, hotline, website, Facebook, Esmile, listening to, receiving, and thoroughly addressing all customer feedback. In 2019, these channels processed 360 passenger feedback, a 19% increase compared to the previous year. Simultaneously, many projects have been implemented to build cultural spaces and improve the environmental landscape, such as installing sunshades for taxi waiting areas at parking lot P4 – Terminal 2; installing green canopies over the railings of the elevated passenger terminal T1...

According to a recent announcement at the World Airline Awards, Da Nang International Airport has for the first time surpassed many "strong competitors" to be included in the Top 10 airports with the best quality improvements in the world.

This award is given by Skytrax based on surveys of air passengers at international airports worldwide regarding the improvement in the quality of passenger service and the level of satisfaction after using airport services.

According to Skytrax's assessment, Da Nang Airport receiving this award is the most outstanding achievement, demonstrating the airport's significant improvement in 2020. The list of the world's top 10 best-improved airports also includes names like Paris Orly (France), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Muscat (Oman), and Fukuoka (Japan).

Previously, Da Nang International Airport, in collaboration with Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) and Skytrax, conducted an assessment of service quality at this gateway airport in Central Vietnam in August 2019. Da Nang International Terminal T2 was awarded a 4-star international standard rating by Skytrax in 2019. Based on this assessment, Da Nang Airport has strived to improve service quality and promptly addressed issues as recommended by Skytrax, such as adding more signage, upgrading the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), and reducing noise in the terminal.
